Launch Party Art Project
During last year's Launch Party, we asked everyone to participate in a collaborative art project. Using dozens of beer coasters donated by Roosevelt's, citizen artists of all kinds created a unique work on a blank side. They were prompted to think about the City of McAllen, but were encouraged to create whatever they wanted
Unfortunately, as to be expected with beer coasters being used at a beer bar, some pints were spilled on these small canvasses. Beer coasters are great at soaking up beer, which ruined some but actually added something to many. Here's what we salvaged.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
We'll look at straightforward, easy-to-follow steps to get the word out and get people to actually attend your events using Facebook's powerful platform. This is perfect for businesses, nonprofits, promoters and anyone else throwing events in the Valley. Tom promises an exciting, energizing workshop because he is hilarious and hates boring meetings. Bring your computers and questions!
Besides his work on WhatMcAllen, Tom manages Roosevelt's at 7's social networks. A former teacher, his education blog I Want to Teach Forever has been going strong since 2007. In 2011, he redesigned and relaunched the IDEA Public Schools website and social media strategy. He also promotes live music in the area through DeRosa Promotions. In short, there's few people in the Valley with the experience and expertise on getting the most out of social media.
